He is convinced that the capital ensures him for life that he will live "like Prince Rohan". He submits to his proud mother and underestimates a good and modest woman. He buys two houses in the countryside, hosts sycophantic neighbors in a pub - he tries to live like a rich man. The classic of Czech realistic prose K. V. Rais, whose novella "Špáta" was adapted for television by J. Z. Novák, realistically affected a person in relation to property and his desire to rise socially.
